Santino Polidoro started playing the trombone at the age of nine at the suggestion of his father. He’s musical training, therefore, began alongside the father figure and continued like this until university, when he graduated with full marks from the “O. Respighi” in Latina with Maestro Rocco Degola.

After graduating, he moved to Milan, where his growing passion for music recording led him to start another course of study in Audio Engineering at the SAE Institute in Milan, where he graduated with honors. In addition to his school studies, Santino also studied with Lito Fontana, Paul Nowell (aka Paul The Trombonist), Chris Lord-Alge, Alessandro Magri, Simone Coen, and Nicola Venieri.

During his training, Santino has produced an extraordinary range of performances and collaborations with important artists such as Alex Sipiagin, Paolo Fresu, Fabrizio Bosso, Famoudou Don Moye, Antonello Vannucchi, Juan Carlos Albelo Zamora and Mario Biondi. He has also performed with Big Bands, Orchestras, and various ensembles playing in various musical genres such as Jazz, Blues, Funk, Pop, and Classical such as IALS Big Band, Verdi Jazz Orchestra, National Jazz Orchestra of the Italian Conservatories, Roma Sinfonietta, Abruzzese Symphony Orchestra, and New Italian Straussian Philharmonic just to name a few.

He has played in festivals such as Pescara Jazz Festival, Rocca San Giovanni Jazz, Italian Jazz for the earthquake lands, Festival dei Conservatori Italiani, Festival dei due Mondi di Spoleto and many others. As a sound engineer, Santino works both live and in the studio.
